Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 681-4650

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from ASKO's own guidance for E1 on its refrigerators. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Note exactly which of the three numbers is on the display; the technician will ask for it.

02

Open the doors as little as you can while the appliance runs without a trustworthy sensor reading.

03

Book a visit, since Asko lists a defective sensor as repair work and safe mode stays on until it is done.

Still there?

It usually turns into controls and sensors. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

It does not mean the settings are wrong. Turning the temperature up or down will not clear it, because the control is working around a defective sensor.

What you may
notice with it.

The refrigerator problem E1 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the refrigerator before anyone is booked.

Every code on this site is taken from the manufacturer's documentation, never from a forum or a parts listing. Asko R31442I. The RBR276 family reports its sensors with a lowercase t instead, and there E8 and E9 mean something else entirely.

Questions
about E1.

Can I clear E1 myself?
Note exactly which of the three numbers is on the display; the technician will ask for it. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Which sensor has failed when my Asko R31442I shows E1, E2 or E3?
The manual does not map each number to a particular sensor; it only says one of the temperature sensors is defective. Write down the exact number you see so the technician can start from it.
Can I keep using the Asko R31442I with E1 on the display?
Yes, the unit goes into safe mode and holds a suitable temperature in every compartment without the bad reading. Opening the doors less often helps while it runs this way, and a visit is still needed to replace the sensor.
