What Brentwood does
to a refrigerator.

Brentwood is a Westside neighborhood of Los Angeles that borders Santa Monica and runs from the San Vicente Boulevard corridor north into the Santa Monica Mountains.

San Vicente Boulevard, with its planted median, crosses a flatter southern section of apartments and houses, and the land rises into canyons north of Sunset Boulevard.

Most of the area is planned for single-family homes, and the city restricts building on steep or geologically sensitive hillsides.

Hillside streets north of Sunset are narrow and winding, and many estates sit behind gates at the end of long drives.

Specified kitchens

Custom panels are ordered to match a specific reveal and finish, so a repair that damages a panel — a bent hinge mount, a cracked veneer — can turn a routine visit into a weeks-long wait on a cabinetmaker rather than a parts order.

Outdoor kitchens

An outdoor refrigerator or an undercounter beverage center is working far outside what an indoor unit is built for: ambient heat, humidity and weather all at once. Whether the appliance is actually rated for it is the first question, and it settles a surprising share of these calls.

Family houses

A household refrigerator is opened more often than any other appliance in the house and loaded until the vents are covered. Door seals, blocked airflow and a drain that never gets to clear account for most of it — cheap problems, all of them, and all cheaper still when caught early.
