What E0
actually means.
On the R31442I, E0 says the touch keys have stopped responding. The unit drops into a safe mode and holds what it judges the most suitable temperature in each compartment, so the food stays cold while you wait. What you lose is the ability to change any setting until the panel is repaired.

Confirm the display does not read LL; a child lock also makes the keys ignore you, but it announces itself with those letters.
Leave the appliance running, because safe mode is designed to keep cooling without anyone touching the panel.
Book a visit: Asko's manual sends E0 straight to a repair, and safe mode lasts until that is done.

Pressing harder or wiping the glass will not clear E0. The code reports that the keys themselves have stopped answering, not that they are dirty.
