What SHO
actually means.
SHO means showroom mode is turned on, so the control panel is live but the refrigerating system is not cooling. Asko lists it under a refrigerator that will not operate, alongside an unplugged cord and a tripped breaker.

What to do when SHO shows on the refrigeratorKind of codeMode, not a failure
A setting somebody chose, or an alert it raised on purpose — a showroom mode, a door or power alarm. Nothing has broken and no part is needed.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from ASKO's own guidance for SHO on its refrigerators. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Press and hold the ALARM button and the minus (-) pad at the same time.
Keep both held for five seconds, until SHO leaves the display.
Give the cabinet a day to come down to temperature; the same manual says a freshly started refrigerator needs 24 hours to cool completely.
If SHO returns on its own after you have turned it off, book a visit.
Cleared?
Nothing needed repairing. If the refrigerator does not settle back to temperature, that is a separate problem.
What not to do
SHO does not mean the compressor has failed. The system is idle because a display-floor setting told it to be.
What you may
notice with it.
The refrigerator problem SHO tends to arrive with. Answer these at the refrigerator before anyone is booked.

ASKO refrigerator repair
Built-in refrigerator
Flush with the cabinets, serviced from the front, and almost always repaired rather than replaced.
Refrigerator column
Separate refrigerator and freezer towers, each with its own sealed system — so a failure stays on one side.
Undercounter refrigerator
A single 15 to 24 inch unit under the worktop — front-vented, tightly enclosed, and easily starved of air.
In ASKO's own words
If your control panel says SHO, then your showroom mode was enabled. To turn this off, hold the ALARM button and (-) pad simultaneously for 5 seconds.
