What Brickell does

Brickell sits on the south bank of the Miami River where it meets Biscayne Bay, directly across the river from downtown Miami.

It carries the name of William and Mary Brickell, who settled at the river mouth in the 1870s, and Brickell Avenue was later lined with bayfront estates before those lots gave way to towers.
