What E3
actually means.
On Viking undercounter refrigerated drawers, E3 means the evaporator thermistor, which Viking calls sensor B, is sending a reading outside its range. The control flashes the code as soon as it sees a reading it cannot use. A one-time code can come from a power line fluctuation.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from Viking's own guidance for E3 on its refrigerators. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Clear it once: hold SET and press ON/OFF four times.
If E3 comes back, that is Viking's sign that there is a real problem.
Contact your dealer or Viking Customer Service to schedule service, and tell them it is E3 (sensor B).
What not to do
It is not the display sensor. That one is sensor A and shows as E4.
