What 18°F
actually means.
A freezer display stuck at 18°F (or -8°C) on a 106 model is an over-temperature notice rather than a live reading. Sears says the usual cause is a power failure. Once the freezer is back to its normal temperature, pressing the freezer temperature keypad resets the display.
