Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 681-4650

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Sub-Zero's own guidance for EC30 on its refrigerators. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Turn the ice maker off so the problem does not get worse.

02

Note the code and the current fresh food and freezer temperatures.

03

Book a service visit and give them both the code and the temperatures.

Still there?

It usually turns into diagnostic visit. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

It is not a warning that the refrigerator is warming up. Cooling is a separate matter unless another code appears.

What you may
notice with it.

The refrigerator problem EC30 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the refrigerator before anyone is booked.

Questions
about EC30.

Can I clear EC30 myself?
Turn the ice maker off so the problem does not get worse. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Does Sub-Zero EC30 mean my food is at risk?
No, EC30 is about the ice maker and says nothing about cooling. The ice maker has stopped because its water valve solenoid was triggered too many times. Keep an eye on temperatures anyway, and treat any second code as its own issue.
Can I reset EC30 and keep making ice?
Sub-Zero gives no owner reset for this one. The advice is to switch the ice maker off so the problem does not grow, then arrange service. Giving the technician the code plus both compartment temperatures speeds things up.
