Demo (or showroom) mode keeps the display and lights running for a sales floor while the cooling stays off. A refrigerator left in it looks alive but never gets cold, even when the temperature is turned down. It is a setting and has to be switched off.

Find the exit steps for your exact model in the owner's manual, since the buttons differ from model to model.
Once demo mode is off, let the cabinet run for several hours before judging the temperature.
If you cannot find the combination, have your model number ready when you call.
