What tF
actually means.
tF shows that TurboFreeze is on, pushing the freezer to its coldest for about two and a half hours so it recovers after frequent opening. The display can make it look like EF or an upside-down f next to an F. It is a setting, not a problem.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from GE's own guidance for tF on its refrigerators. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Let it run out if it was switched on on purpose.
To stop it early, press and hold the Freezer pad for three seconds, or use Express Mode on a touch-screen model.
Expect the freezer fan to be louder than usual while it runs.
Cleared?
Nothing needed repairing. If the refrigerator does not settle back to temperature, that is a separate problem.
What not to do
It is not an error and not a sign that the freezer is struggling. No visit is needed.
