What tC
actually means.
tC is the indicator for TurboCool, a setting that runs the fresh food side at its coldest to recover quickly after heavy door use or a load of warm groceries. It lasts up to 8 hours or until someone turns it off. On some displays it looks like EC or an upside-down F beside a C.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from GE's own guidance for tC on its refrigerators. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Leave it to finish if you switched it on deliberately.
To cancel it, press and hold the Fridge pad for three seconds, or use Express Mode on touch-screen models.
Expect the fans to run at high speed while it is on; GE says they keep running even with the door open.
Cleared?
Nothing needed repairing. If the refrigerator does not settle back to temperature, that is a separate problem.
What not to do
It is not an error code and nothing needs repairing.
