Judge the food before clearing anything: how long the power was out, and what was in the freezer. ### How cold did my Whirlpool freezer get before PO appeared? The opposite: PO means the freezer warmed to 18°F or higher while the power was out. Use that with the length of the outage to decide which food to keep. ### Do I need a repair after clearing PO on a Whirlpool? Not for the alert, which only reports an outage that is over. A visit makes sense only if the refrigerator fails to cool back down once the power is back. --- **[Read on the site: Whirlpool refrigerator showing PO](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/error-codes/whirlpool-po/)** **[Book a visit with RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/schedule/)**
