A blinking CL where the refrigerator temperature normally shows is a reminder to clean the condenser coil. Viking suggests cleaning it about every six months, and sooner after dusty work near the unit. Once the coil is clean, you clear the reminder by hand. Each step comes from Viking's own guidance for CL on its refrigerators. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Turn off the main power switch behind the top access panel. 02 Take out the bottom freezer drawer, the kick plate and the access panel, then vacuum the front of the coil. Viking advises against a duster because it can damage the fins. 03 Put the panels back and switch the power on. 04 Hold the up and down arrow keys together for 3 seconds to clear CL. ### Cleared? Nothing needed repairing. If the refrigerator does not settle back to temperature, that is a separate problem. ### What not to do CL is a maintenance reminder, not a repair code. Viking notes that cleaning the condenser is not covered under the warranty. ## What you may notice with it. The refrigerator problems CL tends to arrive with. Turn off the main power switch behind the top access panel. ### Is CL on my Viking refrigerator an error I need a technician for? No, CL is a reminder that the condenser coil is due for cleaning, roughly every six months. You can do the cleaning yourself with the power off, vacuuming the face of the coil. Viking advises a vacuum rather than a duster so the fins are not damaged. ### Why does CL keep blinking on my Viking even after I cleaned the coil? The reminder does not clear on its own. Hold the up and down arrow keys together for 3 seconds to remove it. This applies to the 7 Series integrated models such as the VBI7360. --- **[Read on the site: Viking refrigerator showing CL | RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/error-codes/viking-cl/)** **[Book a visit with RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/schedule/)**
