The water dispenser has locked itself. It does this when a gallon of water goes out within 15 minutes, or when the water valve stays open for 150 seconds straight. Sub-Zero describes it as a safety feature meant to keep a stuck key from flooding the house. It unlocks by itself after 45 minutes. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 If you can wait, leave it alone. The dispenser unlocks on its own after 45 minutes. 02 Built-in models with the dispenser on the door (BI-42SD, BI-48SD): hold the dispenser Light key for five seconds until it beeps twice. 03 Models with the dispenser inside (BI-36UFDID, BI-42UFDID, BI-42SID, BI-48SID): press the Water key firmly five times within 20 seconds. 04 If it keeps locking during normal use, book a service visit. ### Cleared? Nothing needed repairing. If the refrigerator does not settle back to temperature, that is a separate problem. ### What not to do It does not mean the water line or valve has failed.
