The refrigerator has been above 48°F, or the freezer above 15°F, for longer than an hour and a half, and JennAir says the alarm exists to help avoid food spoilage. The light can keep flashing after temperatures recover, for example after a power outage. After a fresh start-up the alarm repeats every 90 minutes until both compartments are below those limits.
