--- title: "Hestan refrigerator showing HA | RefrigeratorRepair.center" description: "What HA means on Hestan refrigerators, what to check before booking, and when it is not a failure at all." url: "https://refrigeratorrepair.center/error-codes/hestan-ha/" --- # Hestan refrigerator showing HA HA is Hestan's high temperature alarm. ## What HA actually means. HA is Hestan's high temperature alarm. The compartment has stayed above the controller's preset alarm limit for more than 30 minutes. On an outdoor unit the cause is often something around it, such as a door left ajar, a blocked grille or a hot afternoon. Hestan refrigerator display What to do when HA shows on the refrigerator ### Kind of code Service indication A light or a message asking for a visit. It says that something wants attention, not what, so the visit starts with a diagnosis. ### Usually leads to Diagnostic visit The visit that decides what the repair actually is, before any part is ordered. ### Shows up as Refrigerator Not Cooling The compartment is warm but the appliance still has power and still makes noise. ### Make Hestan A Californian maker known for ranges and outdoor kitchens, with refrigeration columns and undercounter units. ### Source Hestan Indoor / Outdoor Undercounter Refrigeration Use & Care Manual (Hestan PDF), Troubleshooting table Hestan 24-inch indoor/outdoor undercounter units with the LED controller: GRS and GRG refrigerators, GRR refrigerator drawers, GRFR refrigerator/freezer drawers and GRWS/GRWG dual-zone models, per the manual's model list. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Hestan's own guidance for HA on its refrigerators. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Make sure the door is fully shut and the door gasket is sealing all the way around. 02 Clear anything blocking the louvered plate at the bottom front, and clean the condenser if it is dusty. 03 Check that the interior light switch is off; if warm drinks were just loaded, give the unit 24 hours before judging. 04 If HA stays on after those checks, book a visit. ### Still there? It usually turns into [diagnostic visit](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/services/diagnostic-visit/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do It is not the door alarm. dA flashes when the door is open; HA waits until the compartment has been too warm for half an hour. ## What you may notice with it. Make sure the door is fully shut and the door gasket is sealing all the way around. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does my outdoor Hestan show HA on hot days? Outdoor conditions such as heat, a blocked grille or a door left ajar can push the compartment past the alarm limit. HA appears after more than 30 minutes above that limit. Clear the louvered plate and clean the condenser if it is dusty. ### How long should I wait after loading warm drinks before worrying about HA on a Hestan? Give the unit 24 hours before judging. Also check that the interior light switch is off and the gasket seals. If HA remains after those checks, book a visit. --- **[Read on the site: Hestan refrigerator showing HA | RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/error-codes/hestan-ha/)** **[Book a visit with RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/schedule/)**
