The manual adds that an audible alarm sounds once the door has been ajar for more than a minute, and that shutting it fully clears the condition. Hestan refrigerator display What to do when dA shows on the refrigerator ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure A setting somebody chose, or an alert it raised on purpose — a showroom mode, a door or power alarm. Nothing has broken and no part is needed. ### Usually leads to No repair Close the door firmly and watch for dA to stop flashing. ### Shows up as Refrigerator Door Not Sealing A gap of a few millimeters is enough to frost an evaporator and run a compressor continuously. ### Make Hestan A Californian maker known for ranges and outdoor kitchens, with refrigeration columns and undercounter units. ### Source Hestan Indoor / Outdoor Undercounter Refrigeration Use & Care Manual (Hestan PDF), Troubleshooting table Hestan 24-inch indoor/outdoor undercounter units with the LED controller: GRS and GRG refrigerators, GRR refrigerator drawers, GRFR refrigerator/freezer drawers and GRWS/GRWG dual-zone models, per the manual's model list. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Hestan's own guidance for dA on its refrigerators. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Close the door firmly and watch for dA to stop flashing. 02 Look for a bottle, shelf or drawer front that keeps the door from closing all the way. 03 If dA stays on with the door shut, check that the door is pressing its switch; if it still shows, book a visit. ### Cleared? Nothing needed repairing. If the refrigerator does not settle back to temperature, that is a separate problem. ### What not to do dA does not mean the unit is failing to cool. A door left open for a long time can, however, lead to HA. ## What you may notice with it. The refrigerator problem dA tends to arrive with. Answer these at the refrigerator before anyone is booked. Close the door firmly and watch for dA to stop flashing. ### When will my Hestan sound an alarm for dA? The audible alarm sounds once the door has been ajar for more than a minute. dA itself flashes while the door is open. Fully closing the door clears it. ### Why does dA stay on with my Hestan door closed? The door may not be pressing its switch, or something like a bottle or drawer front keeps it from closing fully. If it still shows after checking, book a visit. A long-open door can also lead to HA. --- **[Read on the site: Hestan refrigerator showing dA | RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/error-codes/hestan-da/)** **[Book a visit with RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/schedule/)**
