--- title: "GE Profile refrigerator showing PF" description: "What PF means on GE Profile refrigerators, what to check before booking, and when it is not a failure at all." url: "https://refrigeratorrepair.center/error-codes/ge-profile-pf/" --- # GE Profile refrigerator showing PF PF is the GE Profile's record that it lost power for a while. ## What PF actually means. PF is the GE Profile's record that it lost power for a while. The refrigerator is describing something that happened to its supply, not a part that broke. What matters is how long the outage lasted and how warm the compartments got. GE Profile refrigerator display What to do when PF shows on the refrigerator ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure A setting somebody chose, or an alert it raised on purpose — a showroom mode, a door or power alarm. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Find out how long the power was off, then decide which food is still safe. 02 Clear the message once the food has been checked. 03 If PF keeps coming back with no outage in the house, have an electrician look at the outlet and circuit. ### Cleared? Nothing needed repairing. If the refrigerator does not settle back to temperature, that is a separate problem. ### What not to do PF by itself is no reason to book a repair. Find out how long the power was off, then decide which food is still safe. ### What should I check after PF on my GE Profile? Start with the length of the outage and a thermometer reading from each compartment. Then decide which food is safe and clear the message. ### What if PF keeps appearing on my GE Profile with no outage? Have an electrician check the outlet and circuit. PF alone is no reason to book a repair. --- **[Read on the site: GE Profile refrigerator showing PF](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/error-codes/ge-profile-pf/)** **[Book a visit with RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/schedule/)**
