CC tells you the fresh food temperature is not where it should be, and GE's advice is to check the temperature controls. It can be as simple as a setting that was bumped. If the setting is right and the temperature still is not, something else wants a look. GE refrigerator display What to do when CC shows on the refrigerator ### Kind of code Service indication A light or a message asking for a visit. It says that something wants attention, not what, so the visit starts with a diagnosis. ### Usually leads to Diagnostic visit The visit that decides what the repair actually is, before any part is ordered. ### Shows up as Refrigerator Showing an Error Code A code narrows the search, but only the manufacturer's own table gives it meaning. ### Make GE The widest range in the market, from basic freestanding units to built-in Monogram-adjacent models. ### Source GE Appliances support: refrigerator codes GE models with electronic dispenser controls. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from GE's own guidance for CC on its refrigerators. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Check the refrigerator temperature setting on the panel and put it back to your usual value. 02 Put a thermometer on a middle shelf and read it after a few hours. 03 Disconnect power for a minute or two and reconnect to see if the code clears. 04 If the setting is correct and the temperature stays off, book a visit. ### Still there? It usually turns into [diagnostic visit](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/services/diagnostic-visit/). Check the refrigerator temperature setting on the panel and put it back to your usual value. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Can a bumped setting cause CC on my GE? Yes, CC shows when the fresh food temperature is off, and a moved setting does exactly that. Put the setting back and check with a thermometer after a few hours. ### When does GE CC need a visit? When the setting is correct and the temperature stays wrong after a power reset. Do not order a board for CC alone. --- **[Read on the site: GE refrigerator showing CC | RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/error-codes/ge-cc/)** **[Book a visit with RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/schedule/)**
