--- title: "Café refrigerator showing PF | RefrigeratorRepair.center" description: "What PF means on Café refrigerators, what to check before booking, and when it is not a failure at all." url: "https://refrigeratorrepair.center/error-codes/cafe-pf/" --- # Café refrigerator showing PF PF records that the refrigerator lost power at some point. ## What PF actually means. PF records that the refrigerator lost power at some point. It is a note about the supply, not about a broken part. If the outage was long, the food is the thing to check. Café refrigerator display What to do when PF shows on the refrigerator ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure A setting somebody chose, or an alert it raised on purpose — a showroom mode, a door or power alarm. Nothing has broken and no part is needed. ### Usually leads to No repair Think back to any outage or tripped breaker; if power was off for hours, check the food. ### Shows up as Refrigerator Not Cooling The compartment is warm but the appliance still has power and still makes noise. ### Make Café GE's design-led line: French door and built-in refrigeration with customisable hardware. ### Source GE Appliances (maker of Café) support: refrigerator codes From GE Appliances' shared refrigerator code list, which covers Café; the code is not printed in the CVE/CXE owner's manual. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Café's own guidance for PF on its refrigerators. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Think back to any outage or tripped breaker; if power was off for hours, check the food. 02 Unplug the refrigerator for a minute or two and plug it back in to clear the panel. 03 If PF keeps appearing with no outage you know of, have the outlet or circuit looked at. ### Cleared? Nothing needed repairing. If the refrigerator does not settle back to temperature, that is a separate problem. ### What not to do No repair is needed for PF alone. The appliance is reporting what happened to its power. ## What you may notice with it. The refrigerator problems PF tends to arrive with. Answer these at the refrigerator before anyone is booked. Think back to any outage or tripped breaker; if power was off for hours, check the food. ### What does PF mean if my Café shows it with no outage I remember? PF reports that the supply was cut at some point, even briefly, such as a tripped breaker. If it keeps reappearing with no known cause, the outlet or circuit is worth having checked. ### How do I clear PF from a Café display? A short disconnect at the plug, a minute or two, clears the message. Before that, decide about the food if the power had been off for hours. --- **[Read on the site: Café refrigerator showing PF | RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/error-codes/cafe-pf/)** **[Book a visit with RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/schedule/)**
