On a Café, FF warns that the freezer is getting too warm. The instruction attached to it is to check frozen food for thawing, so treat it as a food-safety prompt first. The code reports the rising temperature, not its cause. Café refrigerator display What to do when FF shows on the refrigerator ### Kind of code Service indication A light or a message asking for a visit. It says that something wants attention, not what, so the visit starts with a diagnosis. ### Usually leads to Diagnostic visit The visit that decides what the repair actually is, before any part is ordered. ### Shows up as Refrigerator Showing an Error Code A code narrows the search, but only the manufacturer's own table gives it meaning. ### Make Café GE's design-led line: French door and built-in refrigeration with customisable hardware. ### Source GE Appliances (maker of Café) support: refrigerator codes Café is made by GE Appliances, and GE Appliances publishes one refrigerator code list for its brands; Café's own owner's manual for the CVE and CXE bottom freezer models does not print this code. Not every Café model shows it. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Café's own guidance for FF on its refrigerators. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Go through the freezer and set aside anything soft or thawing; keep the rest cold in another freezer or a cooler if you can. 02 Look for a drawer or door that has not closed all the way. 03 Cut power for a minute or two and restore it, which can reset the panel. 04 If the freezer stays warm, book a visit the same day if possible. ### Still there? It usually turns into [diagnostic visit](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/services/diagnostic-visit/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do It is not a demonstration or a setting. Unlike the mode codes on the same list, FF means the freezer really is warming. ## What you may notice with it. The refrigerator problem FF tends to arrive with. Go through the freezer and set aside anything soft or thawing; keep the rest cold in another freezer or a cooler if you can. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### How fast should I act when a Café shows FF? Treat it as a same-day matter, starting with sorting the freezer contents into soft and still frozen. If the temperature has not come back down after a door check and a short power reset, try to get a visit that day. ### Could FF on my Café be a display mode instead of a warning? No, unlike the demonstration and Sabbath codes on the same GE Appliances list, FF reports real warming. Some Café models do not show this code at all, but where it appears it should be taken at face value. --- **[Read on the site: Café refrigerator showing FF | RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/error-codes/cafe-ff/)** **[Book a visit with RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/schedule/)**
