--- title: "Bertazzoni refrigerator showing EE" description: "What EE means on Bertazzoni refrigerators, what to check before booking, and when it is not a failure at all." url: "https://refrigeratorrepair.center/error-codes/bertazzoni-ee/" --- # Bertazzoni refrigerator showing EE EE is the code Bertazzoni gives for a problem with the ice maker's sensor. ## What EE actually means. EE is the code Bertazzoni gives for a problem with the ice maker's sensor. The rest of the refrigerator can keep cooling and freezing, the manual says, but a technician should be called. Ice production may be affected until it is repaired. Bertazzoni refrigerator display What to do when EE shows on the refrigerator ### Kind of code Sensor circuit A temperature sensor reading outside its range, or the wiring to it. The reading is confirmed with a meter before any part is ordered. ### Usually leads to Controls and sensors A refrigerator cools to what it believes the temperature is, and a sensor reading wrong is obeyed perfectly. ### Shows up as Refrigerator Freezing Food Lettuce frozen solid and milk with ice in it, in a compartment that is not supposed to freeze. ### Make Bertazzoni Italian refrigeration sold alongside the range line, mostly built-in and integrated. ### Source Bertazzoni User and Installation Manual, RFD36FZNX / RFD36FZNW French door refrigerator (us.bertazzoni.com), code table, EE row Bertazzoni's 36-inch freestanding French door refrigerator RFD36FZNX / RFD36FZNW. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Note the code and the model number. 02 Check that the freezer is still at temperature; the code concerns the ice maker, not the freezer itself. 03 If ice is not being made, the ice maker can be switched off with its button until the visit. 04 Arrange service and quote EE. ### Still there? It usually turns into [controls and sensors](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/services/controls-and-sensors/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do It does not mean the freezer has failed. Bertazzoni lists a separate code, EO, for the ice maker itself. ## What you may notice with it. Note the code and the model number. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Will EE on my Bertazzoni affect ice making? It may, because EE names the ice maker's sensor. The rest of the refrigerator can keep cooling and freezing. You can switch the ice maker off with its button until the visit if ice is not being made. ### Is EE the same as the Bertazzoni ice maker code EO? No, EE concerns the ice maker's sensor, while EO is listed separately for the ice maker itself. Neither means the freezer has failed. Quote EE when arranging service. --- **[Read on the site: Bertazzoni refrigerator showing EE](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/error-codes/bertazzoni-ee/)** **[Book a visit with RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/schedule/)**
