When the refrigerator or freezer door has been open for more than two minutes, the panel shows dr, an icon blinks and the buzzer sounds three times a minute for eight minutes. Closing the door clears it. Bertazzoni refrigerator display What to do when dr shows on the refrigerator ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure A setting somebody chose, or an alert it raised on purpose — a showroom mode, a door or power alarm. Nothing has broken and no part is needed. ### Usually leads to No repair Close the door firmly; the icon goes off and the buzzing stops. ### Shows up as Refrigerator Not Cooling The compartment is warm but the appliance still has power and still makes noise. ### Make Bertazzoni Italian refrigeration sold alongside the range line, mostly built-in and integrated. ### Source Bertazzoni User and Maintenance Manual, REF31BMFIXNV / REF31BMFXNV refrigerator (us.bertazzoni.com): Door Open Alarm Documented in the REF31BMF (REF31BMFIXNV / REF31BMFXNV) manual; the RFD36 French door model has the same 2-minute door alarm without naming dr. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Bertazzoni's own guidance for dr on its refrigerators. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Close the door firmly; the icon goes off and the buzzing stops. 02 If it keeps returning with the door shut, check that nothing on the shelves or in the door bins is holding it open. 03 To silence the buzzer while loading, use the two-button hold described in the manual for your model. 04 If dr shows with the doors properly closed, mention it at your next service visit. ### Cleared? Nothing needed repairing. If the refrigerator does not settle back to temperature, that is a separate problem. ### What not to do It is not a code for a failure. The refrigerator is reporting an open door. ## What you may notice with it. The refrigerator problems dr tends to arrive with. Answer these at the refrigerator before anyone is booked. Close the door firmly; the icon goes off and the buzzing stops. ### How long before dr appears on my Bertazzoni? After a door has been open more than two minutes. An icon blinks and the buzzer sounds three times a minute for eight minutes. Shutting the door firmly ends both the icon and the buzzer. ### Why does dr keep appearing on my Bertazzoni with the doors shut? Something on a shelf or in a door bin may be holding the door slightly open. If dr still shows with the doors properly closed, mention it at the next service visit. The code itself reports an open door, not a failure. --- **[Read on the site: Bertazzoni refrigerator showing dr](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/error-codes/bertazzoni-dr/)** **[Book a visit with RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/schedule/)**
