Electrolux refrigeration leans toward French door models, many of them counter-depth, with glass touch controls, a dispenser ice maker in the fresh food compartment and, on select models, a temperature-controlled drawer with its own fan. Each of those systems can fail on its own, so many visits start by working out which one has stopped rather than whether the whole refrigerator has. Most Electrolux service is on French door refrigerators, with multi-door models carrying a Custom-Flex Temp drawer and single-door refrigerator and freezer columns alongside. The drawer and ice-maker layout differs across these, so the model number matters before the visit. ### Ice made in the fresh food compartment The dispenser ice maker on these French door models sits in the fresh food side and is switched from the touch panel; select models add a second ice maker in the freezer. Turning the fresh food ice maker off also disables ice dispensing while water still works, which explains a surprising number of no-ice calls. ### A drawer with its own fan and damper The Perfect Temp drawer holds a temperature that can be colder, warmer or the same as the fresh food section, using its own fan and a motorized damper. A warm drawer beside a normal refrigerator therefore points at the drawer's own parts, not the main cooling system. ### Glass controls that can switch cooling off The Wave-Touch and IQ-Touch panels respond to a light touch on the glass. Holding the on/off icon turns the cooling system off for cleaning while power stays on and the display reads OFF, so a warm unit showing OFF may simply have been switched off. ### Two filters, not one These models have separate water and air filtering systems. The PureAdvantage air filter is meant to be changed every six months, and Electrolux notes that unusually small cubes appearing often can mean low water pressure or a water filter near the end of its life. Parts Common ice maker, fan and valve parts are generally obtainable. Model-specific items such as the glass touch control, drawer assemblies and trim are the ones more likely to take longer to arrive. Repair or replace Usually worth repairing through the middle of its life, especially for ice, drawer and control problems. A counter-depth unit fitted to its opening also makes replacement a fitting question as well as an appliance one. Book your Electrolux visit ## What we are called out for. What does that mean? It signals a high temperature condition. After you acknowledge the alert, the display shows the highest temperature the refrigerator reached. Note that number before you book; it tells the technician how far the temperature climbed. ### Ice stopped dispensing but water still works. Is the ice maker broken? Check the Ice Off indicator on the touch panel first. Turning the fresh food ice maker off disables ice dispensing while leaving water working. If the ice maker is on and the bin stays empty for more than a day, book a visit. ### The Perfect Temp drawer is warm but the rest of the refrigerator is fine. Why? The drawer is cooled by its own fan and motorized damper and is set separately from the fresh food section. A problem there usually stays in the drawer, which narrows the diagnosis considerably. ### I changed the Custom-Flex Temp drawer setting and the freezer temperature moved too. Is that normal? Yes. When the drawer is used in its freezer setting, Electrolux notes that changing the temperature on the display changes both the drawer and the freezer compartment. Set them together, and book a visit only if the freezer will not hold the setting. --- **[Read on the site: Electrolux Refrigerator Repair | RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/brands/electrolux/)** **[Book a visit with RefrigeratorRepair.center](https://refrigeratorrepair.center/schedule/)**
